FREE BIKE's ten days of bike fun are now just ten days away!

The festival is ten days of crowdsourced, do-it-yourself, bike-inspired fun.  Here are a few of the great activities people are putting together:

FREE BIKE Kickoff Ride

July 1, 5:30pm - Let's kickoff FREE BIKE will a big Friday night ride!  Start at MOHAI in Lake Union Park, end at Peddler Brewing in Ballard.

Bike Mural Scavenger Hunt

July 2, 10am - First person to take selfies with all known public bike murals and bike art in Seattle wins a free growler from Peddler Brewing.  Meet at Gas Works Park at 10am, end at Peddler.

Kidical Mass to the FREE BIKE Party

July 3, 10am - Kidical Mass is a fun bike ride for kids, kids at heart, and their families with over 50 chapters around the world! Join us for a bike parade from Salmon Bay Park to the FREE BIKE Party in Ballard. We'll make a pit stop at Adams Elementary for some fun bike games.

The Ramble – 6th Annual

July 4, 7:30am - Led by JRA Bikes, The Ramble is a 100+ mile round trip gravel bike ride from North Bend to a BBQ joint on the Iron Horse Trail and back.

Let's Skip Town with Kids and Dogs

July 5, 10:30am - Everyone knows July 5th is the first sunny day of summer in Seattle so let's commemorate the day with a huge ride (huge for kids and dogs, that is) with an 11-mile pedal along the Burke-Gilman Trail from UW's Rainier Vista to 192 Brewing in Kenmore.

Sunset Mystery Ride

July 5, 7pm - Ride your bike a relatively short distance (around 5 miles) to a mystery location, one that will be good to watch the sunset! Sunset is at 9:07pm.

July 7, 10am - #CoffeeOutsideForHer is a weekly gathering of biking coffee (or tea) drinkers; all genders welcome. It's not necessary to bring anything — Madi Carlson always has plenty of coffee and mugs, though the usual gist of #coffeeoutside is that everyone brings their campstove and coffee kit to make their own coffee.

Tour de Nuit

July 8, 9pm - Ride bikes. Speak French. Have fun. Monsieur Daniel Byrne will guide an evening tour, in French, of the historic Harvard-Belmont District in Capitol Hill. Mme Sheri Renner will serve as translator. Route includes tree-lined streets, wooden ravines, a hidden alleyway, and a few other surprises. We'll begin and end outside Café Presse or possibly across the street, depending on the crowd.

The Fruit Cycle

July 9, 10am - Join City Fruit on a ride to explore Seattle's historic fruit trees! Starting at Gas Works Park, you'll visit orchards and heritage trees along the Burke-Gilman Trial and at the Good Shepherd Center.

World Naked Bike Ride

July 9, 1pm - The World Naked Bike Ride is a worldwide phenomenon, and has been growing steadily since it's inception in cities across the world. The World Naked Bike Ride serves a number of purposes: protest the over-reliance on car culture, dependence on fossil fuels, calling attention to the vulnerability of cyclists on the road, and promoting body acceptance and positive depictions of nudity in cultures where it is sorely needed.

Seattle-to-Portland, West Seattle style

July 10, 9:15am - Have you ever wanted to do the one-day STP? Here is your big fat chance! Do it in two hours, and end up at a huge finish line party! West Seattle Bike Connections will ride from SW Seattle Street in the Admiral neighborhood to SW Portland St in Fauntlee Hills, and back north to Summerfest at the West Seattle Junction, for a fabulous finish line party.
