Show Time!

Pop in and say "Hi" to us at the Shire stall during the 70th Esperance and Districts Agricultural Show! We’ll be in the Esperance Indoor Stadium, Friday 14 & Saturday 15 October, with a whole lot of other great stalls – including the Library and the Leisure Centre, with a range of activities for kids such as sensory play, story time and craft.

Got questions for the Shire? You’ll have the opportunity to chat with Councillors and Executive staff to get the answers – and if we don’t know the answer straight off, we’ll get back to you. See you there!

Community Cat Day a Success!

Last Saturday saw the kick-off of the first Shire of Esperance Cat Community Action Day at the Shire Depot.
Community members turned up to this free activity with their moggies in carriers, and took advantage of a great range of resources and activities. Shire staff were on hand to explain the proposed Cat Local Law 2022, talk about responsible ownership and help fill out registration forms if needed, as well as making cat toys.

SAFE Esperance, RSPCA WA and Swans Veterinary Services were also on hand, offering cat adoption, dispensing worming and flea treatments, and running health checks.

Feedback was enthusiastic, with impressed attendees looking forward to the next Cat Community Action Day, hoped to be in 2023.
Next up - Dogs Community Action Day, 26 November at the Whale Tail!
