View this email in your browser
This month we invite you to SHARE this email with your friends and neighbors. We want everyone in the CMPL service area to know, it's not too late to get a library card! You can apply for a library card online.

As we all work together through this difficult time remember all of the ways the library is here to help. We offer extensive electronic content and virtual services. Visit Virtual CMPL for a quick list of just a few resources.

The timing of reopening and when we may be able to serve you in-person is unknown at this time. If you have a valid email address on file with CMPL, look for an email update on our closure on May 15.
Digital Downloads and Databases
There are thousands of titles available online through our Digital Downloads.Picture of CMPL Digital Download and Databases Playlist But, do you feel a little nervous getting started? We have videos that can assist you using our digital offerings, such as OverDrive. We even have videos with some recommendations for what you can find in our online offerings.

Were you excited to hear you had access to Consumer Reports, but unsure how to use it? We also have videos that walk you through how to access databases you can use from home.

Visit our YouTube Playlist and view a video that will help you get started accessing digital materials and databases.
Summer Reading
May 15-August 15, 2020
This year it is especially important that students read over the summerSummer Reading logo to maintain grade level reading. To help, CMPL is starting its Summer Reading program a bit early. The best part? Summer Reading is good for the whole family! Here is how it works:
  • Read whatever you want!
  • Read at your own pace. You may log every day or only when you have reached 15, 30, 45 and 60 day increments.
  • Have more fun by completing activities to win badges. Collect them all and you’re entered to win one of three $75 gift cards.
Register here starting May 15. Learn more and attend a live online event on our Facebook page on May 15.

School lunches. Plans for highways. Support for firefighters and families in need. Census results affect your community every day! So far, 67.5% of Clinton Township has filled out the Census and 77.2% of Macomb Township has completed the Census.
