RB Digital News

If you are an avid eMagazine reader, big news! RB Digital has been acquired by OverDrive. What does this mean? It means that instead of reading your magazines in the RB Digital app, you'll read them in the OverDrive/Libby app. You will need to download the new app if you are not already an OverDrive/Libby user. If you have already been enjoying the Libby app, there will be no change, other than you may notice even more great titles available for you to borrow. This change will take place Fri., Feb. 19.

Getting Started with Libby
For those who have not yet tried the Libby app, all you need to get started is your library card number and PIN number. The Libby app is easy to use and will guide you through the setup process and get you connected to our library in just a few minutes. You can find in-app support, or visit the Help site or Libby Academy within the app for assistance.

New to digital?
In just a few taps, you can start reading instantly on your phone or tablet. The digital library is available 24/7 without leaving home and is free from our library. Download the Libby app to get started.

1-2-3: Race

CMPL is excited to launch a new initiative where at the beginning of each calendar year, we will provide intentional programming centering on a timely issue. We will select a picture book, middle grade book, and adult novel that focus on our theme. Story times and book discussions will take place for each age level. We will also offer additional programs on each year’s topic. Our goal is to provide our communities with forums to learn about, think about, and discuss challenging contemporary issues. This year’s topic is race. We have selected the following books:
  • Sulwe by Lupita Nyong’o
  • Ghost Boys by Jewell Parker Rhodes
  • The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett
If you're looking for more books that relate to this year's theme, check out Black Stories and Experiences on eBook in hoopla or eBooks by Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) authors in OverDrive.
