Teen Casual After-School Hangout (CASH)
Mon.-Thurs. at 2 p.m. | Zoom
Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to join us for a casual afternoon hangout after school. Just because we can't meet in-person, doesn't mean we can't have fun after school. Registration is required.

Virtual Volunteens
Wed., Nov. 4 at 6 p.m. | Zoom
Join us for a quick chat about what's going on for teens at CMPL. We'll go over program ideas and you'll earn volunteer hours! We might have a few fun games as well.

This fall, enjoy a children’s program on your time. Every Friday we’ll post a new children’s program online on CMPL’s YouTube channel. Enjoy it any time between then and Dec. 31.

Virtual Escape Room: Willy Wonka
Sun., Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. | Zoom
Join us and play as a team or by yourselves to gather all of the missing ingredients to Willy Wonka's new secret candy!

Virtual Show and Tell
Tues., Nov. 24 at 4 p.m. | Zoom
Show us your favorite stuffed animal, tell us a story, share an art project you made, tell us about your pet or just talk about what you are doing. Let's catch up! We miss you. For grades 1-3.

Intro to Microsoft Word
Fri., Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. | Zoom
Learn the fundamentals of Microsoft Word. Basic computer skills are required.  

Larry Martin's WWII In Their Own Words
Mon., Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. | Zoom
Martin will present his filmed interview with Alexander Jefferson, who served with the Tuskegee Airmen as a fighter pilot, flying the P-51 and the P-47. 

The Loss of the Edmund Fitzgerald
Wed., Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. | Zoom
Join Steven Mrozek, historian and former curator for the Dossin Great Lakes Museum, as he describes the final voyage and sinking of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald 45 years ago.

Countertop Cooking
Thurs., Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. | Zoom
Join librarians from CMPL and Mount Clemens Public Library virtually as we demonstrate how to cook up delicious food in the Instant Pot, air fryer, and more.

Intro to Microsoft Excel

Learn the fundamentals of Microsoft Excel. Basic computer skills are required.

All CMPL locations will close at 6 p.m. on Wed., Nov. 25 and remain closed on Thurs., Nov. 26 for Thanksgiving. We will reopen on Fri., Nov, 27 at 9 a.m.

Book Discussions Online
We miss seeing you at book discussions! But, these events continue online. If you've never joined a book discussion, now is a great time to give it a try. Click the links below to register in advance. All books are available for checkout through CMPL's digital downloads.

Mon., Nov. 9 at 6 p.m.: Join a virtual Books on Tap to discuss Final Girls by Riley Sager.

Sat., Nov. 14 at 12 p.m.: This group regularly meets at the South Branch, but now you may join us virtually via Zoom to discuss Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman.

Mon., Nov. 16 at 6 p.m.: Join us for a discussion of A Woman of No Importance: The untold story of the American spy who helped win World War II by Sonia Purnell.

Tues., Nov. 17 at 10 a.m.: The mystery book discussion group usually meets at the North Branch. This month, they will meet online and discuss I Found You by Lisa Jewell.
Trivia Nights
We are offering a variety of online trivia nights this fall. Teens and adults may participate. There will even be prizes for the winners. Check out the sessions below and register to have a fun game night with us! Registration opens two weeks prior to the event.
