From the President
What a month it has been for our Club! We have had our ups and downs but the true spirit of the club has shone through.
We started the month with the sad closure of the Court 2 after it suffered irreversible damage at the hands of the local Corella's. Despite Court 2 being out of action, our Club continues to see record numbers taking to the courts.
Thanks to the expedient and diligent efforts of our Secretary (Ben) and with the support from Central Coast Council (dropping the football netting stopping the Corella's damage) ; our Club will see a new synthetic surface laid in the coming weeks. A time line for the works project is not yet set however it the aim to have the new surface down before the end of Day Light Savings.
Your patience during this disruption is greatly appreciated.
February also saw the announcement by CCC of the $900,000 redevelopment of WWTC and WWFC facilities (information below), and also the start of three competitions run out of our Club. Hard & Low, Ladies Friday Comp and AC Tennis Junior Tennis Comp, which all commenced with great enthusiasm.
I am also proud to welcome aboard the world leading tennis brand, HEAD; to the WWTC family. Now with two leading brands aligning with our Club; our Members and Guests have access to a wide range of opportunities to maximise their playing experience. Jump over to our Shop section on our website and see what we can offer you.
As we race into autumn and the weather cools down, we hope your passion of tennis heats up.
See you on the court,
