Self-driving car company FiveAI secures £36.8M in funding
FiveAI, a British company working on self-driving cars, has raised £14 million in a Series A round led by Lakestar Capital.The startup is developing software for autonomous vehicles, with the eventual aim of creating a fleet of self-driving cabs. It is also involved in government-sponsored project StreetWise—for which it was just granted £12.8 million in public funding.
Cambridge AI startup Prowler.io raises £10 Million Series A round
Prowler.io, a Cambridge-based startup that is building an Artificial Intelligence platform able to make decisions, has raised £10 million in a Series A round from Cambridge Innovation Capital and Atlantic Bridge Capital. The company is using reinforced learning, game theory, and probabilistic modelling to develop smart systems able to make choices when interacting with humans and other AIs.
London-based AI startup SentiSum has raised £540,000 in a Seed round from a number of investors including Angels in the City and LBA. Founded in 2015, the company has devised an Artificial Intelligence-driven tool to help companies deliver more effective customer experience solutions.
