Help Us Meet the Match

Women Who Will $150k!

A generous and inspiring group of donors known as the Women Who Will has provided a $150,000 matching grant that will double all donations made between now and Giving Tuesday on November 29. With our sights set on groundbreaking climate action in 2017, it’s time to make the Giving Tuesday campaign everything it can be!

How to support the match:
You can support this effort either with your own donation, and/or by sending a Giving Tuesday email to all friends and family who might want to support the work we do together. You can use the template found at the bottom of this page or write a personal email that includes the link (Graphics to share on social media are available on this page.)

Get inspired by Katharine

Find Hope with Hayhoe

Watch the recording or listen to the podcast on iTunes.

Following a very stressful election season, we thought it would be good to hear the calm and reassuring voice of our favorite climate change communicator, Dr. Katharine Hayhoe. Dr. Hayhoe recently gave CCL a big shoutout at the South by South Lawn climate change discussion at the White House with President Obama and actor Leonardo DiCaprio. In addition, she just launched a series of short videos on climate change, “Global Weirding.”

Meeting Details

It was  a true joy to be with those of you who were able to join us this month at our meeting. Yes, it was very very exciting to break our record for meeting attendance, with 34 (!!!!) of us in the room. With a group this large, I can only imagine what is fact, we're already feeling that, as many of you shared your hearts and ideas during the meeting or stayed after the meeting to get phone numbers to call, to make plans with others around the urban/rural divide, and ask more about those actions that you wanted to dive into.  HUGE thank you coming to join us...we're so very happy to meet you, to welcome you to our group, and we look very forward to seeing you again if CCL feels like a good fit for you and your life.

If you weren't able to join us, or you want a reminder or more details...

We mostly followed our
very detailed agenda, including working on these
 (mostly detailed above)...national actions

We had 13 New/er Members join us and 21 returning volunteers!
"We have a bill..."
Hillbilly Elegy - book recommendation by KB

We didn't have time to practice this new laser talk to learn about the Impact of Fee & Dividend and Households, but...

...we highly encourage you to read this aloud, alone or with a friend, 3-4 times this month. This will not only help you understand the concept on your own, but will make it far easier to share the information when the opportunity arises...
Let Us Listen

Are you a member of a
environmental or social justice organization?

Are you or your friends or co-members worried about the impact of Fee & Dividend on lower incomes or minorities?

If carbon were to be priced, would you want revenue to fund programs like wind, solar, and/or public health and transportation?

We are interested in hearing your concerns and your perspective on where to go and what to do considering the latest political developments.
Please contact us to set up a time to meet. We are eager to listen...
