Special Olympics World Winter Games Austria 2017

Message from across the Tasman!

The Aussies are ready and super-excited to be heading across the Tasman to compete against our New Zealand friends at the Trans Tasman Tournament in Hamilton in just 21 days.

Last week many of the Australian athletes were presented with their uniforms with the NSW delegation partying up a storm in celebration of their selection to this amazing event between Australia and New Zealand, which is now in its third year.

Soey the Joey, the official mascot of Special Olympics Australia was a huge hit, as was the dancing. We only hope our Aussie team have conserved some energy for the competition in New Zealand! Special Olympics Australia wishes all competitors at the Trans Tasman Tournament the very best of success and we look forward to sharing wonderful stories from the event. Good luck and have fun everyone!
