Important Competition Information
The competition schedule for both swimming and athletics has now been confirmed - download the schedule from our website. As the order of events are now in place, coaches will be given “one opportunity only” to change their athletes events (for example because a runner/swimmer may have back to back events with little/no recovery time).
Any changes must be received by 15th September, after which time events will be locked in.
Coaches have until 1st October to update relevant Times/Distances, after which time heats will be divisioned based on the data submitted.
The exception to the above is the 800 and 1500 meter freestyle (swimming) and the 5,000 meter (athletics) where coaches have until 30 minutes before these races to make any changes, given these are straight finals. Coaches are reminded that we will be using Performance Improvement Declarations at this Trans Tasman event that should be submitted after the heats are run/swum.
Coaches should also note that to allow a break between a couple of the longer races, we will now swim the 200 Individual medley in the 50 meter pool.
Relay changes for both swimming and athletics can be made up to 30 minutes before the start of that relay, this enables coaches to make changes to the 'make up' of the relay team (including athlete positions), after this time no changes will be allowed.
