Integrated Care Interests
I moved to Seattle one year ago and have enjoyed working in the UW Behavioral Health Integrated program (BHIP) and at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA). My major interest is applying quality improvement methods such as “Lean” to medical care and information technology. I also enjoy teaching residents and medical students about topics in Psychosomatic Medicine.

Highlighted Project
I am honored to be working with colleagues Denise Chang, MD and Ryan Kimmel, MD as well as our Integrated Care Fellows, on a project to improve the screening and tracking of PHQ9 scores in our primary care clinics.

Favorite Northwest Treasure
We love the extremely family-friendly restaurant Rosita’s in Green Lake.

UW ICTP Announces New Travel Awards Program

Are you attending the IPS, APM, or APA Annual Meetings or another professional meeting? Consider applying for the new Travel Award Program funded through the University of Washington’s Integrated Care Training Program (UW ICTP). The mission of the UW ICTP is to improve the health of Washingtonians by preparing a workforce to advance effective, integrated behavioral healthcare. As part of this program, we plan to provide travel awards to Residents and Fellows who will be advancing this initiative in some way. If you are interested in applying, please complete the application. There are no guarantees of funding, but you will have a better chance of being funded if you can demonstrate how your attendance will extend mental health services across the state. There will also be an expectation that you share what you learned at the conference with your peers. Please email with any questions about this travel awards program.
