Celebrate the Harvest Season - Sept. 8, 2020

Hello Fellow Traveler,
The changing weather and leaf colors mean fall is on its way -- even if our kids are not back in school yet. My family's favorite autumn activity is celebrating the harvest by apple picking at U-pick farms. As destinations reopen in accordance with the latest public health guidelines, you can stay close to home and feel lightyears away in an orchard. For our directory of top PYO farms in major metro areas, please read more...

Our favorite safety-forward #falltrips and close to home adventures:

  • Take advantage of this crazy time in history to score a bucket list trip -- at the last minute and at a discount -- Go river raft the Grand Canyon!
  • Challenge your family during an epic fall road trip (and share the Minotaur's tale) by conquering some of the country's outstanding corn mazes.
  • Explore America's West while staying safe on Amtrak's top sightseeing routes and experience train travel you never imagined.
Hike Bryce Canyon National Park with Eileen Ogintz of TakingtheKids.com and get a closeup look at the famous hoodoos as her family travels across the West.

Wherever you're off to, safe there, safe home.
