Dear Colleagues,

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights (“OCR”) will not impose penalties against covered health care providers for noncompliance with HIPAA’s Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules if such providers, in good faith, use non-public facing remote communications technologies to provide telehealth services in a manner that does not fully comply with HIPAA requirements.

This means FaceTime, Google Hangouts video and Skype may be used during the public health emergency.

The telehealth-specific codes are:

G0425 - Telehealth consultation, ER dept visit or initial IP, 30 minutes
G0426 - Telehealth consultation, ER dept visit or initial IP, 50 minutes
G0427 - Telehealth consultation, ER dept visit or initial IP,  70 minutes
G0508 - Telehealth consultation, critical care, initial
G0509 - Telehealth consultation, critical care, subsequent

If you would like a free pricing report to see what hospital are charging for these codes, just send me an email.

Otherwise, please note that during this healthcare crisis, we are waiving all setup fees for our price transparency services.
In addition, we are lowering our fees even more for Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) that desperately need our help.

As always, feel free to send me an email or book a time on my private calendar by going to
