PRESS RELEASE: June 22, 2016 We, WNY Muslims, are very saddened to hear about  our Sufi singer Brother Amjad Sabri , who brought so much joy to our recent concert on May 19th, who was shot by two gunmen in Liaqatbad area in Karachi Pakistan. He died on his way to the hospital. Sufism in recent years has come under attack from hard-line Muslim extremists. WNY Muslims condemns this murder of our innocent brother and the lack of security and safety in Karachi especially in the Sindh province.  "This is an abomination and saner,  louder voices against  this senseless violence  should be heard in Pakistan," says WNY Muslims Project Manager. Sabri  was a very famous Qawwali singer and will be missed by  millions of his fans. May Allah SWT give him the highest place in Jannah and give patience to make it easy for his family in these difficult times. Ameen.
