Join me in this peer support group for weekly facilitated sharing and discussion. 

The Laid Off Calgary Support Group provides:
-    support and encouragement through shared concerns and experiences,
-    awareness and choice of thoughts, feelings and behaviours, 
-    strategies for being in and moving through the transition
-    teachings from facilitators and guest expert speakers 
    
In the Laid Off Calgary meetings we respect confidentiality and time of each other, we are non-judgmental, we listen, and we share from our own experiences. No selling, soliciting or criticism. 


With peer support participants can learn from others facing similar issues, feel more connected, pick up interpersonal skills and internalize lessons.

Group size is capped to 12 participants at each meeting.  

WHERE

Meetings are held at different locations depending on the date & time. Find us on Eventbrite (search for Laid Off Calgary) to register. 

Please add yourself to the waitlist if you see the registration is full for the week. There are often last minute changes.

Theme: Tips and tricks from a recruiter's perspective
Debbie is a Sr Recruiter at BOWEN, and also hosts a biweekly session for candidates called "Job Club".

 
Newcomers and past participants are welcome in all meetings. Please register for each meeting you wish to attend. You may find more value in consistently attending a regular meeting time each week to be able to get to know and network with others and build upon themes from each meeting. 

Please note: the meeting starts on the advertised time, if you are running late or can no longer attend, please contact me in advance so we can reschedule you for another meeting.
WANT TO KNOW MORE?

The meetings are 100% volunteer run by Bianca Sinclair, who wanted to share her experience of crisis counselling, facilitation, teaching and many, many hours of mindful listening to offer a community experience where feelings are acknowledged, individuals can learn from one another and real action and empowerment can take place.  

If you are interested in co-facilitating, collaborating or making a financial contribution to the operating of this group please let me know!

A Facebook group page has also been established. Members can post questions, share information on current events/workshops that support job searching in Calgary and coping with the economic downtown. Please note, no advertising, soliciting, selling and no judgement.
