★ Editorial

Poppy Education aims to create, evaluate and disseminate all-inclusive pedagogical kits, open-source and low cost, for teaching computer science and robotics. We wish to promote robotics and digital technology in the education and to facilitate the acquisition of knowledge in computing.

A lot of things has been created by the team and people from the community so it is why we are started a newsletter :-).

You will find here the last news from the project, the examples of educational activities and uses of robots in class as well as information about educational robotics.

★ What's new ?


Robot Ergo Jr in classroom using by studentsThe open-source robotics kit Poppy Ergo Jr has been developed and tested in classroom in partnership with middle schools and high schools. It’s an excellent tool for (re)introducing student to subjects like programming, geometry, robotics, engineering and even design!


To get some inspirations you can see images and videos of prdagogical activities here. Feel free to ask any questions on the forum (in english or french).

The Ergo Jr kit is distributed by Generation RobotsYou can also browse the source files to build your own.

Students corner

Bachelor Students (ENSAM Talence, engineering school) have designed, manufactured, assembled and programmed 4 different alternatives to the fixed hand Poppy by a gripper device. At the end of the year a competition was organized including freestyle and compulsory figures (like filling a glass with a bottle).
