California Small Business Relief Grant Program
Opens December 30, 2020
The California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA) is administering a new $500 million California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program to support small businesses and nonprofits impacted by COVID-19 and the health and safety restrictions. Applications for Round One will open on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, and close on Friday, January 8, 2021. Round Two will be announced in the near future.

Omnibus and Emergency Small Business Relief Bills

Congress recently passed a $900 billion pandemic relief package that would inject additional assistance to businesses and individuals experiencing financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The President signed the Omnibus and Emergency Small Business Relief bills, which re-opens the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) for a "Second Draw," expands relief to nonprofit organizations, and makes other changes to PPP that impact eligibility for initial PPP loans, the loan forgiveness process, and the tax treatment of PPP loans.
The relief package also made changes to the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL Program), the Employee Retention Tax Credit, a Venue Grant program, and other Small Business Administration (SBA) loan programs.

Pleasanton Small Business Support Fund Loan Program

The City of Pleasanton has approved close to $1.2 million to assist more than 100 Pleasanton businesses as part of the Business Support Fund loan program. Qualifying businesses are encouraged to apply at
