Hi Eltham Arts Network!
Hope everyone is enjoying the summer!
We are trying out a new way to send out newsletter through ‘Mailchimp’ Lots of groups are using it now. Let us know what you think.

Well, we are excited to bring to Eltham a special Opera Gala Night on Saturday 12 Nov 2016. This exciting event is just one part of the Eltham Arts Winter Festival events running from 29 October to 20 November 2016. Read more about #ElthamWinFest2016 below.

Thank you everyone who came to our Fundraising Quiz at the White Hart on 1st June. We raised £211 a welcome contribution to our Festival Fund. A big thank you to the White Hart once again. Put Wed 2nd November in your diary for our Festival Quiz there. Book your table now.
Our Eltham Arts AGM went well on Sat 18th June. We welcomed a new committee member Pragya Kumar and had a good discussion about the Winter Festival Thank you to CANE for hosting the AGM and everyone who came along.

The Eltham Summer Music Festival
in July in Passey Place was a great success again. Our Eltham Arts network musicians again played magnificently and the kids loved the craft organised by Artiday on the first Saturday.  Hope everyone who came along enjoyed the music. We had great feedback. With the roadworks in the High Street, people need cheering up! Be great when it’s finished though!

Our CD ‘Aspects of Winter – The Eltham Collection’
was launched on 2nd July at Capital Gallery.  Really well attended by the musicians, friends and the local community, it was a successful event. Many of the musicians played live. It’s a great CD. You can buy a copy (£8) either from us here or from the White Hart, 2 Eltham High St. All proceeds will go back into the Eltham Arts funds for more activities.
Have you had a chance to look at all our Eltham Arts films? We have our own YouTube channel now with five films made by Reeva Charles about our events. The latest is a fun video on the making of the CD.

Planning for the Eltham Arts Winter Festival 2016 is now well underway. The programme is in draft with over 135 events taking place between
29th October and 20th November.

We will again have a programme pull out supplement in Greenwich Visitor in Oct and Nov 2016 and will have banners and leaflets. Thank you everyone who is organising one (or more) events.

Please do spread the word where you can about the Festival. It’s going to be such a marvellous community event. We do need volunteers to distribute programmes etc. If you can spare any time, please do help.  We will be having our opening event again in Passey Place on 29th Oct. If you can help at that or any other event, please do contact us. Any ideas or help with publicity would be very welcome.
Our Eltham Arts Network is getting very extensive and growing. Thank you everyone who works so hard to organise groups and events. We are the envy of many areas as we are working so well to develop Eltham as such a creative place.

We use twitter and Facebook to keep in touch, so do have a look. We have over 2300 twitter followers so we know that many of you are in contact and updated. Please do retweet our tweets and interact with us. We now have an Eltham Arts Winter Festival 2016 Facebook page. We do want to reach as many people as we can. How often would people like a newsletter? It has been a bit hit and miss so far! Every month? Two or three months?

Keep in touch and be creative

With best wishes from Gaynor and the Eltham Arts Committee
