Hello friends

We hope you are keeping healthy and doing well in coping with these extraordinary times. Apologies for the break in sending out a newsletter.

Revisiting Wall - Announcing the new Eltham Arts Project - JOIN IN!

We think that keeping our minds active during this challenging period is so important. The creative arts can help with coping and reflecting on the difficult situation we all face.

So we are excited to announce our new Eltham Arts community project – “Revisiting Wall” – a creative response to the current challenges.

We want YOU to join in.  How can you join in?
  1. Think about: How do walls feel around you? Have they changed lately? Do they bond you or are they more isolating?
  2. Decide to make your creative response. It can be any art form – from writing, art, music, knitting to photography and much more – anything to express your feelings.
  3. Create your artistic response. If you create your response in a ‘brick size’ (download our 20x6cm template here) in any medium, then we will build a digital Heartfelt Wall on our website!
  4. Send your creative response to us at info@elthamarts.org. If your creative response is non-digital, then take a photo and email it to us. We’d also love to see your entries via your own social media – please tag us in and use the hashtags #RevisitingWall and #ElthamArts
We will share all your creative responses on our social media regularly – please follow us:
Twitter: @ElthamArts
Facebook: www.facebook.com/ElthamArt

The project is open to all ages, abilities and to anywhere in the world. Have a look on our social media for some of the fantastic ‘bricks’ which we have already received from around the world.

Introducing the new Eltham Arts team

Since we last wrote you may know there’s been a few changes with the Eltham Arts team. Our founders Gaynor and John have moved onto new pastures - we wish them the very best and send huge thanks for all their efforts and dedication.

Miriam Storey is our current chair, Sarah Carlin is our new Treasurer, Dave Kenningham, Zahira Al-Zahira and Deborah Ormsby will continue to serve as committee members. Pragya Kumar is our Projects Coordinator and Reeva Charles will help with media and PR.

However we couldn’t keep going without all the other fantastic volunteers, fundraisers, artists and arts organisations – thank you!

We look forward to sharing your creative responses to Revisiting Wall.

Keep well and stay safe.
Best wishes From the Eltham Arts team
