Project ECHO Sessions Coming Soon!


 
Project ECHO (Extension for Community Health Outcomes) leverages video technology for clinicians and medical staff to learn, share, and connect with other providers throughout the state. The sessions are free to participants and offer continuing medical education (CME) credits, maintenance of certification (MOC) credits, and continuing nursing education (CNE) credits

A comprehensive list of ECHO offerings will be posted on the new Virginia ECHO Connect website, scheduled to launch later this month. On this new website, participants will be able to sign up for an ECHO Connect Account, register for sessions, and stay informed about upcoming ECHO offerings throughout the state.

Sessions scheduled to start this Fall include:
  • Diabetes Management
  • Behavioral Health
  • Pain Management
  • Opioid Use Disorder
  • Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
  • Pulmonary Health
  • Comprehensive Stroke Care

Peds Endocrine:  9/19, 9/12, 9/26 from 4 - 5 pm

Surgery Pre-Consult:  9/11, 9/28, 9/26 from 2 - 4 pm

Wound Care:   9/12, 9/26 from 9 - 11 am & PRN

Upcoming Events

Connecting Health Researchers
The Conference Planning Committee of the National Telehealth Research Symposium 2019 is now accepting submissions for presentations and posters related to telehealth-related research.  Specific content areas include:

  • Evidence-based research which proves the benefits of connected health systems i.e., telemedicine, telehealth, eHealth, mHealth)
  • Creation of quality initiatives and telehealth measures
  • Defining telehealth training programs and education
  • special topic of interest – Acute care and chronic care as it involves connected health for pediatric patients in various care settings (e.g., home, school, hospital)

This event is hosted by SPROUT (Supporting Pediatric Research on the Outcomes and Utilization of Telehealth) and SEARCH (Society for Education and the Advancement for Research in Connected Health).  

Accepting research abstracts through June 28, 2019.

Bringing the people who care about rural Virginia together provides an opportunity to discuss how we can ensure the sustainability of rural Virginia through policy, access, economics, education and more.
