ECHO is an interactive educational and community-building experience that allows healthcare professionals and long term care and residential care facility managers throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia to connect with infectious disease and Telehealth specialists  through the convenience of video connection.

How Does ECHO Work?

Virginia clinicians use videoconferencing to connect with specialists for interactive learning sessions. Expert presenters share their knowledge and clinicians bring their tough cases to get feedback from their peers and specialists.

At UVA, Project ECHO programs use Zoom® videoconferencing technology to connect to care providers around Virginia.  Sessions can be accessed from a smartphone, computer, or landline.  No special equipment is needed.
