A note from Janet Rogers + Downloads
Dear <<First Name>>, I so look forward to our workshop together at the ocean view studio in the beachfront Grande Cayman Hotel in lovely Myrtle Beach!!!! Can’t wait to see you all!
We will begin the workshop with fresh flowers in the studio to paint (I will get) - focusing on color and design, nature, interpreting some landscape elements – including flowers in windows or doorways, (you can bring some of your favorite photos and I will have some different ones you can work from) , then on to the head & figure.
I am attaching images of the two portraits I will use as demos (in the portrait portion) (attached here – feel free to draw them or trace if you want to paint them at the workshop) - I WILL ALSO BE BRINGING A FEW OF THESE PHOTOS TO THE WORKSHOP – WITH MY FREEHAND DRAWINGS OF THEM FOR TRACING IF YOU WANT TO – you will have time –PLEASE - YOU CAN ALSO WORK FROM YOUR OWN PHOTOS - I just wanted you to see the 2 main demos I will do. (I can also help with interpreting YOUR photos or how to handle different aspects of the portrait that are not part of the demo images – skin color, glasses, smiles, etc.
I will also have other sets of photos with drawings you can play with for practice.
For the figure portion I will have lots of figure photos which will provide inspiration for “gesture” and playful creating . PLEASE NOTE:
YOU CAN BRING YOUR OWN PHOTOS TO WORK FROM – AND I WILL BE GLAD TO HELP IN ANY WAY.
The main thing is -WE WILL PLAY, HAVE FUN, LEARN AND GROW! - and have the unique opportunity to share our journeys in the “Wonderful World of Watercolors”
