This Valentine’s Day, the best gift you can give your heart is to get up and move.
Too busy to hit the gym? Here’s the good news: Even small changes can boost your heart health. Aim for 30 minutes of physical activity five days a week. Or break it into 10- to 15-minute segments, if that’s easier.

Here are five ways employers can help:
  • Map out safe and interesting walking routes near your workplace.
  • Offer adjustable-height work stations. Alternate between sitting and standing.
  • Provide incentives for those who walk or bike to work.
  • Issue pedometers so employees can track their activity.
