At STA, one of our goals is to have our youth parishioners to participate in the weekend liturgies. In support of this goal, our next Family Mass opportunity will be Sunday, April 23 at the 8:30 and 10:30 Masses. Please view the sign up to volunteer your child and family to participate. We look forward to having families and our youth take part in these ministries! If you have questions, please contact Holly Carter holly.byrkeland@gmail.com

Visitors are very much welcome and appreciated!
Saint Thomas Aquinas parishioners, as do people everywhere, lead increasingly diverse, busy, complex and demanding lives. Our needs and capabilities range over a wide spectrum. We are certainly not a homogenous group at STA – our diversity of viewpoints, needs, and backgrounds is both a blessing and a challenge.

For the vision and mission of the parish to be realized it is essential that parishioners, residents and students, young and old, male and female have a voice in the life of the parish. The voice needed could be yours!

The pastoral council is a representative group of the entire parish, organized in such a way that all the voices of the parish can be heard and responded to appropriately. They serve as a means for the pastor to test his own ideas, priorities and proposals with a group that reflects the whole parish community. Thus, ideally, it is the vehicle for dialogue about the life and activity of the parish, a forum for planning and evaluating and essential for the health, vitality, spirituality and growth of the parish.

Nominations (including self-nomination) for this year's election are now being accepted.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament for families 4:00 - 5:00pm on Sunday, March 19. All members of our parish family are encouraged to come and encounter Jesus in this way - especially our youngest members!
You are invited to make a memorial flower donation in memory of a deceased loved one or in celebration of blessings received - for our Easter season flowers this year. We kindly ask a minimum donation of $10. Envelopes are available on the information table (across from the elevator) and on the pick-up table (in the prayer garden pathway). Envelopes can be put in the collection or dropped off at the parish office. To be listed in the Easter Sunday bulletin, donations need to be made on or before Sunday, March 26.
Calling all dads of St. Thomas Aquinas: Do you enjoy camping and the outdoors, have a desire to pass on the Catholic faith to your sons and are interested in hanging out with other dads that share those interests? Troops of St. George Troop #2 invites all interested dads and sons to an open house campout to see what we are about and whether you would be interested in joining our group. Dads and sons are invited to come for all or part of the day on Saturday, April 1st at Ledges State Park for outdoors and faith activities. Please join us for any or all activities on Saturday. Questions about the Troops of Saint George or the open house campout can be directed to Ian Schneider (icschnei@yahoo.com or 515-520-0412).

For the Children
Mass guides and books for children are available for use during Mass and Adoration. Feel free to have your child pick up a couple of books or fill a bag on their way into the Worship Space. The cart is located at the end of the Garden Pathway under the literature rack just before you enter the Gathering Space.  Please return the books and bags to the cart at the end of Mass.

The Children’s Activity bulletins, previously located at the Information table across from the elevator are located on the wall above this book rack (along with pens to use).

FLYER

On Saturday, March 4, the Community Life Team hosted a semi-formal dance in the Lower Lounge for the student parishioners. It was a great event and had an amazing turnout! The Community Life Team is responsible for planning social events for the students to come together and grow in relationship. The dance was just one of the awesome events that students can attend to get to know each other and form friendships with fellow Catholic students!
The funeral Mass for Dr. Paul Koellner will be streamed online Saturday March 25 at 10am. The Mass stream can be joined from the St. Thomas More website homepage at www.sttomskazoo.org
