Deptford Parks Liveable Neighbourhood

DPLN Formal Consultation
DeptfordFolk DPLN
The Prince Street Road Closure as part of DPLN has transformed the street from a grim rat run to a safer school route. It's amazing how quickly a street can be humanised as seen at the recent 23rd Annual Dog&Bell pickling contest.
The Deptford Parks Liveable Neighbourhood project was awarded funding by The Mayor of London/TfL in late 2017.

Since then we have been working with Lewisham Council and Sustrans to engage residents, park-users and schools in the project. The DPLN area has grown. We've put a temporary modal filter on Prince Street outside the Dog & Bell. This has had a dramatic impact on road safety.

Folkestone Gardens Playground

Children deserve better. This area has a child poverty rate of 49%. Let's get an amazing playground for Folkestone Gardens for everyone to enjoy. Street safety will be improved for everyone if children and families are using this space more. Air quality can be improved with street closure, trees and greening.

£570k for Evelyn
We're campaigning to have an amazing new playground in Folkestone Gardens. This was Park Users Number 1 priority in our 2016 survey. The promised play never happened during the council's "Skate & Play" project in 2015. Please make a comment on the council's NCIL map and ask for a playground. Read more about the campaign HERE.
And finally....
The Timberyard development by Lendlease will see 1132 new homes being built opposite Deptford Park. There will also be shops, business units, new public realm and The Victoria pub will reopen.

There are three drop-in exhibitions open to all over the next couple of weeks:

Saturday 7th December 11am - 3pm (inc. a tour)
