Join TeatroVivo for two family friendly performances on Sunday 3rd July at 11:30 and 12:300 in Deptford Park.

As part of the London Borough of Culture, Teatro Vivo have been commissioned as Artists for Change.

From January 2022 they've been embedded with the Climate resilience team at Lewisham Council - learning about the work they do and exploring the way they make change happen.

From March 2022 the Lewisham Usherettes have been heading out onto the the streets of Lewisham to talk with the public about what we've found out, and gather the thoughts and opinions of Lewisham residents about how we can use climate adaptation to make the borough the best it can possibly be.

From April 2022 they have run workshops with 19 community groups (one for each ward in the borough) to explore all these ideas.

All this work has inspired a 20 minute show called 'Lewisham Speaks' that will be performed in Deptford Park on Sunday 3rd April.

You may remember that Teatro Vivo also brought Evelyn's Roots to Deptford. It told the story of many characters who had laid their roots in Deptford over the last 400 years.

It was an outdoor theatrical promenade which is now available to download as an audio experience to listen to as you walk through the area.

Evelyn's Roots was written by local artists Bernadette Russel and Gareth Brierley.
