Bold ideas take the stage at the National Library this Friday
The New Zealand National Commission for UNESCO's Global Citizenship Education Ideas Exchange is happening this Friday, and we'd love for you to join us in the lively conversation.
The Ideas Exchange will traverse subjects and projects, spanning: the arts in dealing with trauma, spirituality, prison education, mental health and medical innovation. The line-up of speakers includes senior academics and secondary school entrepreneurs.
You'll hear: Shruthi Vijayakumar — Enabler and Innovator at Emerge Institute, Peter O’Connor — Professor at University of Auckland, Josh Villanueva and Fred Devereux — both Year 13 students at St John's College, Hastings.
GCED is about empowering people to face and resolve local and global challenges, and to become proactive contributors to a more peaceful, tolerant, inclusive and secure world. All of these speakers demonstrate this through their work.
Join us 5.30pm this Friday, 30 October, at the National Library, Wellington
