It's Time to CELEBRATE

Our very first corporate observance of the 30-Day Prayer Challenge for Grandparents took place in August/September of 2016 as 47 group members gathered together to pray.

This week we will wrap up our seventh observance of the challenge in which more than 840 grandparents participated via Facebook... and they were joined by many others around the world who aren't on Facebook!

God is certainly on the move in the lives of grandparents and their grandchildren!!

Grandparenting as a Team: How to Lead Grandchildren with Parents, Not against Them

By Anne Peterson

I love my grandchildren to pieces, but I did not give birth to them. Once I accepted that fact, God showed me what we need to do as grandparents to ensure our grandchildren will grow up well.

Welcoming in Spring with the Grands

Spring is right around the corner, here are some fun activities to do with the grands to welcome in Spring.
  1. Go on a scavenger hunt – look for signs of Spring such as robins returning after their winter away in warmer areas or daffodils poking just above the ground’s surface.
  2. Open your jewelry box – share the stories about each treasured piece.
  3. Dig around in the garden beds, preparing them for planting season.
  4. Teach them one of your favorite outdoor childhood games. Croquet is one of our grands favorites.
  5. Bird watching – busy time of year for birds. Put up feeders and houses. Maybe even make a birdhouse.
  6. Shop for a puzzle together then spend time putting it together.
There is so much to do this Spring. Just focus on fun and being together. Click here to see 5 great activities to do with the grandchildren.

Call to Action

Did you know that grandchildren are accessing pornography through the wifi at their grandparents homes? We, as grandparents, are less likely to have installed controls on our devices. Check out for additional sneaky places that pornography likes to find kids. Have the conversation and put in safe measures to protect your grands while they are at your home.

Resource Review

Stories matter because they draw us in and invoke emotions. Stories connect us through providing common ground. Stories help answer questions of when, where, why, what, and how. Stories matter because children LOVE stories! Grandchildren want to hear their grandparents stories. They are fascinated to hear how God has worked or is working in the lives of people they know and love. This book guides grandparents in sharing their stories of faith with their grandchildren. Heirlooms is the perfect guide for grandparents passing on their heirlooms of faith to the next generation and beyond. Go to to purchase your copy today!

Prayer and Praise Focus

Loving Heavenly Father, we pray for our grandchildren to guard their tongue and keep their lips from lying and evil communication. Help them to enjoy the companionship of godly friends who love God and spur them on to good works. May their obedience to their parents stem from a pure heart that seeks to please God.

Oh Lord, we praise Your steadfast love that endures forever and Your faithfulness that endures to all generations. Thank you, Father, for Your Spirit that continues to train our grandchildren in righteousness.
