The Summit will also be live-streamed to many locations all across the country! Interested in being one of these remote locations?

We will be taking applications to be a remote site through late summer and fall of 2019. If your church would be interested in being a remote site, we will have an application accessible on legacycoalition.com/summit soon. There will be stringent requirements for being a remote site, because we want the conference experience to be just as amazing there as at the main site. In the meantime, email us to inquire about your church being a remote site: Contact us at summit@legacycoalition.com.  Once approved, locations will be posted on our web page.

Ambassador Spotlight

Let’s Meet Cynthia Moss, an Ambassador with Legacy Coalition

Cynthia Moss lives in Alabama and attends Shades Mountain Baptist Church. Cynthia leads her grandparenting group at her church. It is called GrandLife. Their GrandLife ministry is focused on engaging, equipping, and encouraging grandparents to be intentional Christian grandparents. They have meetings as well as a monthly newsletter. Cynthia also helps Legacy Coalition as an Ambassador for them. Ambassadors serve as the critical link between Grandparents, the local Church and the Legacy Coalition. They come alongside local church grandparenting ministries helping to enhance their influence and impact.

Cynthia’s journey started with reading a book by Cavin Harper titled Courageous Grandparenting. She then attended the first ever National Grandparenting Summit in 2016 where God spoke to her. Cynthia realized that while her grandchildren were older (13-23 years of age), her influence was not over. She gleaned and gained many ideas and tools. One thing Cynthia started doing was to invite her nearby grandchildren to a meal every month or so. There they would chat and visit, catching up. Cynthia intentionally came prepared with some questions that would lead the conversation in a God direction. Every meal always ends with one question, “what can I pray with you about?”

Cynthia is grateful for Legacy Coalition encouraging her to stay in the game of grandparenting – no matter the age. You may not be able to sit, snuggle, and read a bedtime story but there are so many things you can do. As the grandchildren continue to get older, she knows the challenge is there to stay connected but Cynthia knows with God’s help it can be done.

Cynthia has attended each of the National Grandparenting Summits so far, leaving with a heart overflowing with encouragement as well as ideas to try. An extra special blessing is that in 2020, it will be held at her home church! She cannot wait to see what God will do! Cynthia cannot wait to see you there? Come and catch the excitement!

Let's Celebrate GRAND Fathers

“Joseph said to his father, “They are my sons, whom God has given me here.” And he [Israel] said, “Bring them to me, please, that I may bless them.”
Genesis 48:9

Here are a few quotes about grandfathers:

“Grandfathers are just antique little boys.”

“Grandfathers are for loving and fixing things.”

“A grandfather is someone with silver in his hair and gold in his heart.”

“Grandpa has ears that truly listen, arms that always hold, love that’s never-ending, and a heart that’s made of gold.”

“A grandfather is someone you can look up to no matter how tall you grow.”

"To a small child, the perfect granddad is unafraid of big dogs and fierce storms but absolutely terrified of the word 'boo'."                              ―Robert Brault

"My grandfather has the wisdom of an owl, the sense of humor of a headless chicken, and the heart of an angel."                                            ―Author Unknown

"An amazing adventure is always moments away whenever a grandfather and his grandson get together."        ―Author Unknown

Grandpas are daddies with extra practice!

“One of the most powerful handclasps is that of a new grandbaby around the finger of a grandfather.”              – Joy Hargrove

Grandparents Month is September.

Grandparents Day is September 8th. Be on the lookout for great resources to help honor, celebrate, and challenge your grandparents!
