Legacy Grandparenting Summit 19

We welcome back to the Summit stage for an encore performance Scott Wesley Brown. Past Summit attendees truly enjoyed him. Scott is a veteran Christian artist, songwriter and worship leader with 25 albums. One of his newest projects is an album of songs by various artists about grandparenting. He is co-writer of the song “Grandprints” (with Bruce Carroll) which past Summit attendees were blessed to hear – it really spoke to hearts. Scott’s songs have been recorded by Sandi Patty, Bill Gaither, Petra, and Placido Domingo. Scott has had nine number one songs on Christian radio as well as ministering through concerts in every USA state and over 50 countries worldwide. Scott serves as the worship leader at Sky Valley chapel in desert Hot Springs, California. He partners with ministries including The Jesus Film Project, World Vision, and Compassion International. Come ready to be blessed!
What do you get when you blend gospel music with bluegrass and country-rock influences? Brush Arbor! Brush Arbor started in 1972 with Jim Rice and his brothers Joe and Wayne in Southern California. They were immediately signed by Capitol Records, being dubbed “The Voice of the New Country.” Brush Arbor appeared on the Grand Ole Opry, the “Hee-Haw” TV Show along with tours with Merle Haggard, Charlie Rich, the Everly brothers, Marty Robbins, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash. They won the Academy of Country Music Award for “Vocal group of the Year” and “Best Touring Band” in 1973. Following the group disbanding in 1999, Jim Rice and Mike Wilson continued to perform the songs and sound of Brush Arbor for more than 25 years. It is with much pleasure that we welcome them to the National Christian conference – Legacy Grandparenting Summit 19 stage.

Breaking News! Exciting News!

We are excited to announce we are fully separated from Awana Clubs International. We are very grateful that we have had a larger organization’s help in our development as a new ministry. It has been such an ideal situation for us to have been “incubated” for the first three years of our existence.

The Legacy Coalition has incorporated as an independent entity, established a board, and had a seamless transition to a new accounting service. God has been so very, very good! As of January 1, 2019, a new accounting service is taking our donations. Please see the steps below for sending in your donations. Your gift to the Legacy Coalition will be multiplied as Christian grandparents influence multiple generations for Christ.

We are excited to establish this new process:
If you contribute by check: Make it out to Legacy Coalition, and send it to:
Legacy Coalition
4740 Green River Rd #217
Corona, CA 92880

If you contribute by credit card or debit card, simply go to and click on “Donate” to process your donation. Starting in February you will be able to setup automatic monthly donations if you wish. If you need assistance with this please contact us at that time.

Once we receive your donation in the Corona, California office, you will receive a tax-deductible receipt by return mail that will include a tear-off section to include with your next donation.

We pray God’s blessings on you in the New Year! God is up to big things and we are so blessed for the crucial part you play.

Spotlight on Christian Grandparenting Network

As a Legacy Coalition Ministry, one of the things we desire is to be a platform for like-minded ministries that are seeking to engage the Church in the task of envisioning and equipping grandparents to impact future generations who know, love and serve Christ. We seek to do this by creating the largest resource hub ever, where Christian grandparents and church leaders will find resources, materials, events, etc. about intentional grandparenting. We are continuing to build this center. We are grateful to these ministries for sharing our vision and encourage you to visit and use their resources.  You can go directly to the Resource Center by clicking this link: . In this Resource Center you will find Legacy Coalition partners.

In this newsletter we would like to highlight Christian Grandparenting Network. They have been an amazing critical partner since the inception of the Legacy Coalition. We are so grateful for their encouragement and support. Please check out their website at Christian Grandparenting Network holds Courageous Grandparenting Seminars and Conferences promoting intentional, godly parenting and grandparenting so that future generations may grow up with a solid, biblical foundation that will enable them to follow Christ wholeheartedly in today’s world.

They also hold GrandCamps in the summer to build lasting memories with the grandchildren.

Grandparents@Prayer along with Grandparents Day of Prayer are also ministries of CGN. Grandparents@Prayer is an intercessory prayer group for grandparents to pray for each other’s grandchildren and families. They encourage you and give you resources to stand in the gap for your grandchildren. Check them out today!

Have you ever wondered how to start a grandparenting ministry?

Have you wanted to sit with someone and just pick their brain? A great opportunity is available to you! Prior to the Legacy Grandparenting Summit 19, there are five Pre-Conference seminars available. So You Want to Establish a Grandparenting Ministry in Your Church is one of the five that are offered. Come learn from other grandparents who have started a ministry to grandparents in their home churches. You will learn the next best steps to take as well as the possible challenges to overcome. Not only will you leave inspired and equipped with practical ideas, but you will connect with grandparents who will be available as you get started. This workshop will consist of testimonies and teaching as well as a panel discussion to answer all your questions.
