What we're working on...

Throughout 2019, UEDA has led a project team who have worked with the City of Milwaukee CDGA staff and community-based organizations to carry out the outreach and drafting portion of the City's 5-Year HUD Consolidated Plan. We would like to share with our network a year-end progress report that includes what has been accomplished, what is ahead for Q1 2020, and our initial survey and focus group findings. We are still analyzing the data - look for opportunities to weigh-in on the draft plan in February of next year. View the 2019 Consolidated Plan Progress Report.

Bank On Greater Milwaukee will be hosting two events in January in partnership with Volunteer Income Tax Preparation sites around the city. The events aim to educate individuals on the benefits of owning a personal baking account and will encourage people to open accounts so that they have somewhere to safely deposit their 2019 tax refunds. Events will be held on January 11 from 8am-12pm at Washington Park Senior Center and January 18 from 8am-12pm at Lad Lake Synergy School. Follow Bank On Greater Milwaukee on facebook for updates.

Please plan to join us for our 12th annual Carnival Milwaukee fundraiser on Saturday, February 29 at Renaissance Place! We will celebrate Milwaukee's cultural diversity through food, music art and dance at this annual party with a purpose. Tickets go on sale in January! Current UEDA Members receive a discount on ticket prices, so join or renew today!
