1.  NEW EUNWA Website developed by ADITESS Ltd.

Thanks to the support of ADITESS Ltd. Cyprus  and their director Mr. Nikolaos Koutras, and the efforts of Mrs. Liza Charalambous, we are happy to announce our new Homepage in a brandnew design which will be launched in due course - www.eunwa.org - have a look - your feedback is very much appreciated. Liza has done a huge job to develop our new homepage, we are very grateful for her support.

2. EUNWA Advisory Board

During the last 3 years EUNWA has developed a large European membership and a comprehensive network of stakeholders in this field comprising:
  • neighbourhood watch schemes,
  • national and international crime prevention organizations,
  • scientific institutions,
  • local communities and regional authorities,
  • governmental institutions and NGOs,
  • the business community involved in protection of citizens’ safety,
  • and many others.
We now feel that the time has come to activate our manifold contacts among the above stakeholders in order to benefit from the large scope of knowledge and experience they represent. We would like them to help us improve and expand the usefulness of EUNWA’s services to its members. For this purpose, we are planning to establish a committee of experienced players in the related fields asking them to contribute some of their time and a lot of their expertise in helping us to make EUNWA’s work even more useful. From the large community of concerned organizations, we have chosen a small number of outstanding personalities whom we are asking to cooperate with EUNWA forming an expert committee in an advisory capacity (the EUNWA Advisory Committee).

If you are interested in becoming a member of our advisory board , we are more than happy to receive your application. Please send your application to head-office[at]eunwa.org.

Karl has been invited by CITYCoP Forum “Smart Solutions for Citizen Safety” to give a lecture in Rome during their annual meeting between 14 and 15 November 2016 in Rome. The consortium partners in CITYCoP build on their long years of successful collaboration in previous EU research projects dealing with UGC, smart surveillance and privacy including full preparation of the CITYCoP solutions to achieve full integration into secure smart city eco-systems.

CITYCoP sets out to learn about the use of technologies to assist Community Policing in Europe and beyond. This CITYCoP Forum provides a forum to learn and discuss about the community policing application that is being developed by the project. For that purpose, the Forum brings together different stakeholders including law enforcement agencies, governmental organisations, civil society, business and academics.
For more information about the project please refer to the CITYCoP website: http://citycop.eu/

5. Streetassciations UK

Martin Graham is looking for partners to expand his streetassociations initiative organisation within Europe. http://streetassociations.org/

We think that he should receive all the support he can get. It's a brilliant idea, which can easily be implemented within every European country.

His deliberate intention is to create a livable social environment: What you can do to TRANSFORM YOUR STREET? Why not help your street to become more friendly, supportive – a place people belong, have friends and look out for one-another?

Contact: We’d love to hear from you at Street Associations.
