GRAND RECRUITMENTS


To accommodate to its growing, Newton Chinese Language School is restructuring some departments and the related positions are open to the public for hiring for the next school year.  Parents, teachers, staff members and friends of the community are all welcome to apply for the positions.

Job Term: From the recruited day in the summer to June 31, 2017

Recruitment Process: Selected applicants will receive a phone call to schedule a phone interview. The selected candidates after the phone interview will attend a face-to-face interview by the NCLS admin team.
 
MARKETING DEPARTMENT
Marketing Director
Marketing Director reports to the Principal or Vice Principal whoever is in charge of this department.
 
Responsibilities:
·       To coordinate with other departments, follow closely the in- and out-school activities of education, marketing and events, and collect photos and videos of activities
·       To organize and attend outside-school events to promote the school to the public
·       To draft, create and update marketing collaterals, update content of website, and post social media messages
·       To work together with Graphic Designer for typesetting for marketing collaterals
·       To make basic editing on video footage of school activities
·       To oversee the journal editing and publishing work
 
Requirements:
·       Passion for community and marketing work
·       Working experiences in creating marketing collaterals, including website, brochure, and social media, etc.
·       Knowledge of video editing
·       Excellent writing and communication skills in English and Chinese languages
·       Excellent teamwork abilities
·       Be present on school days and during the week be available for a few hours per week
 
Payment: Two-class standard salary, plus bonus

 
Chief Editor of Journal
 

Chief Editor of Journal reports to the Marketing Director.

 

Responsibilities:

·       To edit and publish journals monthly

·       To coordinate with school members to collect contributions

·       To collect photos and videos of activities if assigned by Marketing Director

·       To coordinate with advertising merchants to include their ads in journal

·       To work together with Graphic Designer for typesetting for each journal

·       To coordinate with printer to print out the journals in hard copies

·       To distribute e-journals to the school community

 

Requirements:

·       Passion for community and journal work

·       Working experiences in writing, magazine and/or journal

·       Excellent writing and communication skills in Chinese language

·       Excellent knowledge of Chinese arts and culture

·       Excellent teamwork abilities

·       Be present on the school days and during the week may need to be available for a few hours per week

 

Payment: Two-class standard salary, plus bonus

Graphic Designer
Graphic Designer reports to Marketing Director and Chief Editor of Journal.
 
Responsibilities:
·       To work together with Marketing Director for typesetting of marketing collaterals
·       To work together with Chief Editor of Journal for typesetting of school journals
 
Requirements:
·       Passion for community and graphic design work
·       Working experiences in graphic design of marketing collaterals, magazine and/or journals
·       Advanced capabilities in graphic design software  
·       Excellent communication skills in Chinese language
·       Excellent capabilities of Chinese and English languages, as well as team work
·       Be available for a few hours per week and may need to be present on some school days
 
Payment: One-class salary standard, plus bonus

 
OUTREACH DEPARTMENT
Outreach Director
The Outreach Department is a new department at NCLS. It is responsible for public relations and fundraising of the school.

Responsibilities:
·       To establish inter-organization programs
·       To organize fundraising events
·       To attend events and social activities to fundraise
 
Requirements:
·       Passion for community, public relations, and fundraising work
·       Working experiences and excellent abilities in public relations, fundraising, and/or sales
·       Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English languages
·       Flexible working hours and report to Principal at school on every school day
 
Payment: Two-class standard salary for the admin members, plus bonus
