The first day of fall is at our doorsteps...
Summer fun has had its way, and preparation for the cold time of year is here. The last bits of corn harvesting is seen at the Farmer’s Markets and we say good bye to the summer fruits and berries. The elderberries have been harvested to make syrups to ward off colds, and warmer clothes are beginning to emerge.
What is almost finished growing where you live? Are you now harvesting the apples and making way to prepare them for fall and winter celebrations?
When my eldest daughter was three years old, I heard a grand tale at her pre-school about the magic of apples, called A House with No Doors, No Windows and a Star Inside.
This story brings magic and wonder to this most impressive fruit. I offer this story to you along with songs and adventures to play along with it on my blog.
Welcome to Fall and all it’s glories.
