What is next at Hope?
If you’ve been with us this summer, you have noticed that we have been walking through the Psalms, which is been so good for my soul! Starting in September we will do something we haven’t done before as well be focusing on the Gospel of Mark for almost an entire year. My hope is that we will slow down and mine a bit deeper into one particular gospel account. My other hope is that each person in our church family will spend intentional time throughout the week reading scripture, discussing it with a few others and using it to add width and depth to our prayer lives. A few groups will be available for you to connect with or you can surely host your own with folks at work or in your neighborhood. I’ll send out a few questions each week among other resources, but you can shape your group however you choose.

Summer in the Psalms: We look forward to immersing ourselves in one of the most beautifully written books in the bible. If you aimed to read 2 chapters of Psalms a day, you would finish by the end of summer. I hope you'll join me!
Sunday's Sermon: This Sunday we had Rob Hamilton (a counselor and dear friend of Hope) as a guest teacher. His message examined David’s words in Psalm 63. This particular Psalm reminds us that without God we will never be fully and completely satisfied. Rob's message invites us to stay in tune with our souls to recognize when we are thirsty for God. Listen and be encouraged!
Creation is our theme all summer long! We are working on memorizing our new Bible verse, Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." We are also learning a song, "My God is so Big," linked here: Sing Hosanna - My God Is So Big | Bible Songs for Kids - YouTube
