When I was little, it was easy to feel like a child of God because I was quite literally a child.  I could sing loudly in worship about being a child of God and those words felt right, because that’s what I was! I understood the idea of God “The Father” because I most likely viewed God as an extension of my parents who provided for me. It was natural for me to believe that if God was called Father, then He would provide the things His child needed.

Sunday's Message: Kathy Risley's message focused on John 12:15-19 after Jesus had risen and appeared to his disciples when they were out fishing.  She used 4 words (Mystery, Revelation, Resurrection, Communion) to connect us deeply into what was happening in this passage and help us more fully understand the character of Jesus. Listen and be encouraged!
June 5th is Shake Up Sunday!! Please mark this date in your calendar for a few reasons....
1. We begin worship at 9am!! We are planning to meet earlier during the summer months to beat the heat.
2. On communion Sundays (first Sunday of the month) we are encouraging fellowship and "communing" after worship! We will offer a special treat each communion Sunday.
3. For anyone on the FIRST IMPRESSIONS team (this includes greeters, parkers and connection volunteers) Meet Blake and Ali Jo at white trailer right after worship for a quick tutorial on your roles. This will also give you the opportunity to connect with others who serve on your team!
Memory Verse: Psalm 31:24-- "Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord."

Reminders:
It is warming up outside! Please send your child with a water bottle that is clearly labeled if you would like for them to have a drink. We will do our best to remember what your child brought with them, but please remind us at pickup!

Tithing is an act of generosity and a simple response to God's generosity to us. Since we are doing church a little differently, we encourage you to tithe online or send your giving to our post office box. Our gifts support the mission of this church in our community and beyond and we are grateful for your generosity.
