Got some Pentecost Pants?
This Sunday I get to bring out my beloved Pentecost Pants for one of my favorite stories in the Bible. Red is the liturgical color which reminds us of the power and presence of the Holy Spirit that launched the church into action that day. Some of you might feel like you don't know much about the Holy Spirit, so here is a short video that will help you as we head into this Sunday. Click here to watch.

I also want to say a few things about this summer....

Sunday's Message: The message this week focused on Jesus’ ascension into Heaven. This event in scripture gets limited recognition, but why is that? Jesus ascends to sit on the right hand of God the Father; by faith we believe he is still working and moving on our behalf. After the ascension, we were given the Holy Spirit, which God uses in each of us today to participate in the restoration of things on Earth. These are encouraging words for the church!
Memory Verse:
"Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord." -Psalm 31:24
Reminders: It is warming up outside! Please send your child with a water bottle that is clearly labeled if you would like for them to have a drink. We will do our best to remember what your child brought with them, but please remind us at pickup!

Emily and Dan Happick welcomed their daughter Winifred "Winnie" Hayes into the world on Monday, May 23rd! She's beyond precious and the family is so excited to have her home (especially big brother Elliot). Let's help the Happick family out by providing dinner and/or meal delivery gift cards to them in this fun, new season as they transition to a family of 4. They are so appreciative of all the love, support, and prayers from their community -- thank you! :)

Tithing is an act of generosity and a simple response to God's generosity to us. Since we are doing church a little differently, we encourage you to tithe online or send your giving to our post office box. Our gifts support the mission of this church in our community and beyond and we are grateful for your generosity.
