The Holy Work of Teaching
School is underway for all involved! We have been praying for everyone in the educational process the last several weeks at church and want to continue in the weeks to come. While most occupations felt immense pressure over the past several years, teachers might be at the top. If you think about it, a 2nd grade teacher will spend more hours with a child today than his or her parents, neighbors, relatives or pastor. Teachers have incredible influence in our community because they invest so much time! I came across this prayer below which I encourage you to pray today! Praying for our teachers is a clear and tangible way as Jeremiah says to "seek the peace and prosperity of the city". May all students...all schools...all teachers...all parents flourish and prosper this year!

O Lord, you who have called and equipped the teachers in our community, we pray for them today. Watch over them, provide for them, guide them, sustain them. May you be their sun and shield, so that they might do the work that you have entrusted to them and sense your care in these uncertain times. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Summer in the Psalms | Psalm 131
Sunday Message: As we continue in the Psalms, Psalm 131 invites us to live with a content heart. Nate shared some thieves of contentment including pride, comparison, and envy. Christ alone is the Prince of peace; our hope sustains contentment. Are we living in a way that proclaims Christ is enough? Listen and be encouraged!
Creation is our theme all summer long! We are working on memorizing our new Bible verse, Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." We are also learning a song, "My God is so Big," linked here: Sing Hosanna - My God Is So Big | Bible Songs for Kids - YouTube
