Portraiture workshop tonight
Your long weekend is nearly here but first we have a great workshop planned for tonight (Thursday 18 April) at Classroom 1, St John Ambulance station, Whangarei.
The portraiture workshop will feature two guests who will be dressed in their Steampunk finery, so please make an effort to come along.
Steampunk is a quirky and fun subgenre of science fiction or fantasy that incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th century industrial steam-powered machinery. Inspirations include 19th century writers such as Jules Verne and HG Wells.
Steampunk costumes take months to assemble, and make really stunning photography subjects.
We just happen to have a portraiture competition coming up soon too!
Hope to see you tonight at 7.30pm.
- Bring your camera and a tripod.
- Bring a flash.
- Try different lenses if you have a selection.
