Message from the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion
The Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion understands that the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting all of us but will magnify and exacerbate social and economic inequities for many. We ask that our friends and colleagues across the University keep our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion at heart as we adjust and reimagine the work ahead of all of us. We have been inspired by our brilliant colleagues and students across campus and remotely who have been engaged in innovative and responsive work to support our campus and our broader community.
OIDI is drawing upon our diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) informed Transformational STRANDS framework to continue our commitment to the intellectual mission of the university during this challenging moment in our collective history and beyond. Our office’s work is also grounded in an understanding that we are all obligated to each other, now more than ever. We are also excited to announce that we are expanding our engagement by launching a bi-weekly DEI e-news and updates publication.
Please also be sure to visit our webpage, which provides DEI related campus and community based resources as well as additional DEI relevant COVID-19 information in support of our campus community.
Sincerely,
Office of Institutional Diversity
and Inclusion
