Doctors give gift of site
The Caridad Center, the largest free medical and dental clinic in Florida, is partnering with Eye Associates of Boca Raton in order to give the gift of sight to 22 patients on Monday at the Outpatient Surgery Center of Boca. 18 of the surgeries will correct cataracts, which are a principal cause of blindness. Three Pterygium surgeries will remove painful external eye growths that deform the cornea and could soon cause serious visual impairment if the patients didn’t receive treatment.
