U.S. Census 2020: First Numbers for Local Counties and Municipalities

On Aug. 12, the Census Bureau released redistricting data for all of the U.S. Subsequently, Carolina Demography put out the 2020 total population and housing unit data for all of North Carolina’s counties and municipalities. Below you will see a table that Karyl Fuller — Economic & Community Development director at Foothills Regional Commission — created for our region, by calculating percent change rates from 2010-2020 for all of Foothills’ jurisdictions.

More Census data will be available in the coming days and months. Carolina Demography, the NC Demographer, and the U.S. Census are great resources to understand this data.
