NVPO Announces National Adult Immunization Plan: A Path to Implementation
The National Vaccine Program Office (NVPO) has just made available the National Adult Immunization Plan: A Path to Implementation. This document is a companion to the National Adult Immunization Plan, which provides an overview of actions needed to be undertaken by federal and nonfederal partners to prevent vaccine-preventable diseases.
The original plan outlines 4 key goals and objectives and strategies to guide implementation through 2020:
Strengthen the adult immunization infrastructure.
Improve access to adult vaccines.
Increase community demand for adult immunizations.
Foster innovation in adult vaccine development and vaccination-related technologies.
The new companion document identifies eight implementation priorities and suggests potential activities to support each priority. You can access both here.
