Toast Banquet Raises Over $18,000 to Benefit Ivy Tech Students
Our club recognized Kerry Stemler, dedicated community servant, business owner, and devoted Hoosier, as the honoree for the 26th Annual Rotary Community Toast and Benefit Banquet on November 1st for his important contributions to the local area and exemplifying the true spirit of the Rotary motto, “Service Above Self.”
As customary, a portion of the proceeds from the Toast are distributed to a nonprofit or charity as selected by that year’s honoree(s).  Kerry selected to have this portion of the proceeds benefit the Ivy Tech Foundation where the funds will be used for student scholarships.  Kerry joined us last week to announce the final donation amount and to help distribute the funds to his chosen charity.  We were proud to present a check, totaling over $18,000, to Ivy Tech Chancellor Dr. Travis Haire and the Ivy Tech Foundation.

Visit for registration and information.
Rotary Youth Exchange Update
Thanks to the Offutt family for the great updates on FC student Owen Offutt's year in Italy through Rotary Youth Exchange!  Owen was able to spend Christmas week skiing in the Dolomite Mountains with his host family.

We are excited to announce our next RLI opportunity will be February 29th, 2020 in Bloomington!
Rotary Leadership Institute is designed for those Rotarians who have the potential and willingness to engage in future club leadership to provide them with a quality education in Rotary knowledge and leadership skills that are so important in voluntary organizations. The leadership skills obtained at an RLI event will help not only in their Rotary career, but will apply to their leadership efforts professionally, as well.  Registration and program information is available here.

Have something that you want your fellow Rotarians to know about?  Just reply to this email with anything that you would like to include in the bulletin.
