You Work Hard For Your Money

Keep It Safe
Helping your business grow is our top priority and our account officers work hard to figure out the best possible solutions to help that happen. Keeping your money safe is another of our top priorities. Here are some things we can do together to help secure your accounts.

Protect Your E-Mail
We've said it before but can't say it enough. Compromise of corporate e-mail accounts where fraudsters impersonate a corporate employee for the purpose of redirecting funds led the list of reported cyber theft losses in the just released FBI Internet Crime report for 2016. We have a presentation that describes the common ways this occurs and how to protect your business. We can provide you with training resources and can come to your workplace and help your employees learn how to recognize and mitigate this threat. Talk to your account officer to schedule.

Update Your Mobile App
We are in the final testing phase of a new release to our mobile app. iPhone users already have the ability to login to our online banking using fingerprint TouchID. This upcoming release brings that same functionality to Android phones. Whenever you see the update notification, download it right away to be protected by the latest security features. If you haven't yet used our mobile app, search for it in the AppStore or Google Play and give it a try.

Keep Contact Info Current
With the threat of fraud always on our minds, we check and double check anything that seems out of the ordinary and contact you if in doubt. If any of your contact information changes, we need to update our records. If you drop a landline, add a mobile, change your business number, or move, let us know how to best get a hold of you. Being able to reach you quickly may thwart a financial crime in process.

While on the topic of current information, it's important, and in some cases mandatory, that we have an up-to-date copy of your driver's license. If you've renewed yours in the last few years, and whenever you do so in the future, let us know so we can update our records.

Be Alert When Traveling
When you travel, don't assume a public Wi-Fi hotspot is safe or secure. Avoid using mobile apps that require you to enter personal or financial information while using public Wi-Fi.  Also, check whether you have location services turned on in your settings. You may not want it known that you are out of the office or where you are when you're away.
