"An outstanding wine from this great vintage, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is an inspired blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc that was aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak prior to bottling. Right away this appeals with an evocative bouquet of rich dark fruits with coffee grounds and sweet pipe tobacco, alongside scorched earth undertones that make this very classically Red Mountain. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long finish, this deep and concentrated effort is already nicely evolved and will surely cellar well over the next fifteen years."

The product of a fateful partnership between Piero Antinori of Marchesi Antinori and Ted Baseler of Ste. Michelle. They settled in Red Mountain, a tiny but celebrated sub-appellation in Columbia Valley, characterised by its red-hued grass slopes and sandy-loam soils. Here the combination of heat, nutrient-poor soils, low rainfall and cool night temperatures leads to concentrated fruit and wines with amazing structure, power, and elegance. The wine's inaugural vintage was 1995, and in 2018 vintage conditions produced an exquisite expression, warm but with ideal conditions during harvest allowing for excellent balance.
