Happy 2017! We are resending last month's newsletter for those of you who made not have had the chance to look it over during the busy holidays. It offers more ideas for how to get your 2017 recruitment efforts off to a flying start!
 



New option for your county logo



The most important job your recruitment marketing communications have is to connect emotionally with the viewer. It gets harder to do that if your communication looks like an ‘ad’. (And the truth is, a logo can scream ‘careful—this is an ad’!) But there are times when you may still want to have your logo in one of your billboards, or on a poster inside your fair booth. You now have the option to request ‘logo’. However, we recommend you use it sparingly within your overall campaign. Remember, while your logo has a lot of meaning for you, it has no meaning to a potential foster parent . . . your logo is not the reason they will consider the monumental act of taking a young stranger into their home and heart. Give the messages you are placing the best chance to achieve that difficult task, without any distractions.

Brad Rabley and Wes Blackburn had questions about how to best use some Marketing Generator elements with the new website they are creating for Allen County. During our phone consultation, they wondered if we could create a message for their homepage to urge a visitor to take the next step right then and there, and call to speak directly with a foster placement specialist for more information. As a result, there will be a new banner worked into their homepage’s slideshow… and a new, effective piece of communication that can be customized for your agency’s home page. Coming next quarter!
