Is your system IEC 61724 compliant

Dear Mr. Karpov,

The new IEC 61724-1:2017 standard for PV system performance monitoring has just been released. An important part of the monitoring concerns meteorological parameters such as ambient temperature, wind speed and -direction, and solar radiation. Did you know:

  • the standard introduces accuracy classes A, B and C for monitoring systems?
  • Class A requires regular instrument checks and calibration intervals?
  • SR30 is the first pyranometer meeting Class A requirements?
