A very gracious thank you is in order for the 301 pledges we’ve received thus far to the 2022 Annual Campaign!

In consultation with the clergy and the finance committee, the vestry has set a goal of $1,650,000 for 2022 to sustain the vital mission of our church. As of noon on November 4, the total dollar amount of pledges we’ve received to fund the work of the parish for the upcoming year is $1,183,265. With that dollar amount we are fully funded for the first 9 months of 2022.

If you have not yet pledged, your support is critical for The Chapel of the Cross to be able to sustain its worship, programming, and outreach initiatives at the same level as 2021.

The annual campaign ends on November 14, will you lend your financial support to the mission and ministry of your parish in the upcoming year? We are excited for the future that God has in store for us in this place, as we come back evermore fully to our common life.

Every gift, no matter how large or small, helps us continue to make a difference. Click the button below to make your pledge online or if you would prefer to make your pledge by confidential voicemail with our Treasurer, please call 919-442-2566.

Our association with The Chapel of the Cross began six years ago when we retired to Galloway Ridge at Fearrington Village. We quickly established friendships with our “pew buddies” at the nine o’clock service and more with those we met at coffee hour.

Henry counts the MEN'S PRAYER BREAKFAST a vital part of his spiritual growth. We are grateful to the clergy for being attentive to our needs, even bringing Eucharist to Galloway Ridge. And the exceptional music lifts our souls! We are blessed to be in this congregation.

Parish Hall and Online

For the first three Sundays in November, we will be learning about homelessness and the people experiencing it in Chapel Hill and Orange County.
There are few things more explicit in our Christian faith than caring for and about those who have no safe and secure place to rest their heads. The first two Sundays will feature virtual presentations by Rachel Waltz the Program Manager of the Orange County Partnership to End Homelessness (OCPEH), a coalition of service providers, local governments, and community members who work together to coordinate funding and bring best practices to the work of ending homelessness in Orange County.

We will stream those presentations for people to watch together in the Parish Hall at 10:15 a.m. A link will also be provided for those who want to watch the presentations at home. On November 21 we will have an in person panel of experts here to answer our questions and share with us ways to get involved in ending homelessness. This series is sponsored and organized by The Chapel of the Cross Outreach Ministry Committee (OMC). If you would like to be find out more about the work OMC does, please contact Scott Radway.
