Bucket List Dream Trips - March 22, 2021

Hello Fellow Traveler,

Thanks to current public health concerns, you, like us, may be experiencing your second missed spring break. Our family had planned a dream trip to Egypt in 2020 on our quest to see the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Instead for 2021, we are looking at close-to-home spring break ideas with robust safety protocols.

But the pandemic has also given us perspective on the world's fragile places. Now, we long to experience the ones that have healed from lack of tourism as well as the ones that are more threatened without a watchful eye. Our focus during pandemic time is dreaming about our next bucket list adventure... and quickly. We've had our fair share of dream trips, as you can read below. So we are dreaming really big. Beyond the far off places and animal kingdoms, there is Antarctica. The southernmost continent in the southern hemisphere is at its peak in our winter, making a family expedition to the South Pole possible between November and March 2022. From onboard experts to zodiac expeditions, luxury cabins, gourmet food and all-included activities, the unique Atlas Ocean Voyages cruise caught our eye. To explore one of earth's last real frontiers, Antarctica, with sponsor Atlas Ocean Voyages, please read more...

What's on Your Bucket List? Here are Some Ideas:

  • Dreaming about getting up close and personal with a 60-foot shark? Add swimming with whale sharks off the coast of Mexico to your Bucket List.

  • Dreaming about being out in Africa on a challenging trek to the top of the world? Add climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to your Bucket List.

  • Dreaming about soaring to outer space or one day landing on Mars? Add the heart-pounding thrill of a live rocket launch to your Bucket List.

There's no better bonding opportunity than a bucket list trip that's physically challenging. When Eileen Ogintz of TakingtheKids.com tackled Mt. Kilimanjaro with her teen, she discovered the value of making memories the hard way

Wherever you're off to, safe there, safe home.
